About Us

Disability Specialists, L.L.C. was established in 2002 by Verle and Lynda Coon after Verle's retirement from 30 years of service for the Social Security Administration. The business has grown and now has four representatives: Lauren Bates, Joy Bates, Nelda Idle, and Macee Sullivan. Combined, we have almost 50 years experience in Social Security and SSI Disability claims.

Today, Disability Specialists represents claimants across Oklahoma. We have experience representing claimants who not only have varied types of disabilities, but who also have special situations that make their disability cases more difficult to win. Most of our business comes from word-of-mouth referrals from our clients who have been approved for disability.

Many of our clients live outside of Anadarko, some hours away. We understand that disabled individuals often have difficulty traveling long distances or cannot afford to travel. For our clients who are unable to physically come to our office, we are able to carry out communication over the phone and by mail. Actually, some of our clients may never see us face to face due to difficulty getting to our office. On the other hand, other clients come in our office regularly to check on their case and update personal information. Our goal is to meet each client's individual needs, and we will be happy to work with you to make the application and appeals process as easy as possible for you.
